As in the OT, this phrase focuses on the prophetic nature and divine origin of what has been said.

The words more likely refer to the extreme weariness, not of the angel, but of Daniel. Cf. 7:28; 8:27; 10:8-9, 16-17; also NASB.

[9:23]  29 tn Or “a precious treasure”; KJV “greatly beloved”; NASB, NIV “highly esteemed.”

[4:31]  31 tn Grk “And when.” Because of the difference between Greek style, which often begins sentences or clauses with “and,” and English style, which generally does not, καί (kai) has not been translated here.
